With inscription - From the Original Picture in the collection of Ernest Gambart Esq. Original artist Rosa Bonheur 1879. Engraved by W. H. Simmons. Printed by Holdgate Bros. on 1 March, 1881 for printseller L. H. LeFevre on St. James St., London. Also New York registered copyright M. Knoedler Co. Some surface paper loss in a few locations and foreign matter between engraving and glass. Some foxing noted along left edge. Edge decoration missing along bottom of possible original frame.
